FYP Preview: Palace v Brighton
Team News
Palace
Yes, it's time for Palace v Brighton and we're treated to another highly anticipated match in a season that's been full of them - and what a chance we have now to pick ourselves up after last Tuesday night's penalty failings in South Wales.
Can you remember that night down at the Amex? And what a night it was - if we can just muster half of the spirit we showed on that night we should be fine.
Palace will be without captain Paddy McCarthy after his red card picked up in the semi-final against Cardiff sees him sidelined through suspension.
Aside from that Freedman has his entire squad to pick from, apart from Joniesta who is still out through a broken leg.
Brighton
New signing, striker Sam Vokes recently signed from Wolves yesterday, will be available for the game
Midfielder Matthew Sparrow (ankle) is a concern for Gus Poyet. Tommy Elphick and Gary Dickers are still recovering from long term injuries and wont be playing.
However, Kazenga Lua Lua has returned from injury and could play some part.
Key Players
![]() Glenn Murray FFS MURRAY! It had to be, didn't it? He's not scored in a fair while, and I reckon he'll be itching to put another one past his old team. If he can spawn another CPFC meme in the process, all the better. |
|
![]() CMS He's not done too badly for Brighton since signing, I suppose. |

Prediction
I'm in two minds about this one. I'd had a bit of confidence knocked out of me after the kick in the balls that was Tuesday's Carling Cup defeat, but then I remembered we're playing against Brighton. And Brighton are sh*t. So there you go...
Palace 5-0 Brighton
